Of course, keep in mind that Yorkville is a for-profit, while Athabasca is a public university. Privates are still novelty in many places in Canada, so some bias probably exists. Yorkville is being proactive in opening avenues for certification, so that might help in many contexts.
Christio, Athabasca is a great school and they have a lot of resources for undecided undergraduate students. Home : Counselling Services : Learner Support Services : Athabasca University I would go to this site and do an online or phone consult with them.
Athabasca (Canada’s Open University) is indeed credible (holds both CAQC and MSCHE accreditation); however I personally believe the Athabasca option to be much overpriced (e.g., $43,500 MBA www.mba.athabascau.ca - Tuition and Fees - MBA and /or its DBA at $52,500 www.mba.athabascau.ca - Tuition and Fees - DBA even in CAN Dollars is, in my ...
Athabasca University has the least generous credit transfer policy I have ever seen. * All courses less than 3 semester-hours (which means most courses from colleges on a quarter system) were awarded 0 credits , with the notation "Not enough hours" -- even if there were other courses from the same institution.

I'm about to register for Math 365 (Multivariable Calculus) at Athabasca University. This is my first time taking an online course. I'm wondering if anyone here has taken this course at Athabasca, or at least other math/science courses at the school. I'm looking for any informed opinion of how hard the course is.
Athabasca University is the leading DL University in Canada (IMHO) They are a member of the Association of Universites and Colleges of Canada. The Royal Holloway MBA is 7,300 Pounds ($10,490 U.S. and $16,741 CDN) compared to Athabasca's DL MBA which runs $29,500 CDN ($18,491 US) for nationals and $35,367 CDN ($22,170 US) for those outside of ...
"Athabasca University does not accept transfer credit from this institution (College-Level Examination Program (clep))" Here is the link to check yourself: https://secure3.athabascau.ca/tcas/ I don't know of any Canadian University off the top of my head that does accept CLEP. I know that Dalhousie, Acadia, Mount A, SMU, MSVU, UNB don't...
The same like Charter Oak State College, Excelsior College, Thomas Edison State College and Athabasca University. In other words you can transfer all your previous coursework to them and if they fulfill their degree requirements you can earn a degree from them without having to do any coursework with them.
