The Valley of the Drums is a 23-acre (9.3-hectare) toxic waste site in Brooks, Kentucky [2] in northern Bullitt County, near Louisville. It became a collection point for toxic wastes starting sometime in the 1960s. It caught the attention of state officials when some of the drums caught fire and burned for more than a week in 1966.
Oxmoor was surveyed in 1774 and was the home of Sturgis Station fort by 1780, when it was granted to Col. William Christian. Alexander Scott Bullitt married Christian's daughter in 1786 and Christian gave the 2,000-acre (810 ha) farm to them as a wedding present.

Pioneer Village is located in northern Bullitt County. It is bordered by the city of Hillview to the north and west, and the city of Hebron Estates is to the south. Downtown Louisville is 16 miles (26 km) to the north. According to the United States Census Bureau, Pioneer Village has a total area of 0.73 square miles (1.9 km 2), all land. [6]
Fox Chase is a home rule-class city in Bullitt County, Kentucky, in the United States. It was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1983. [ 4 ] The population was 436 as of the 2020 census , down from 447 in the 2010 census .
