VTM or Vlaamse Televisie Maatschappij (English: Flemish Television Company) is the main commercial television station in Flanders (the Dutch-speaking northern region of Belgium) and forms part of a network of channels owned by DPG Media (formerly Medialaan).
On 31 August 2020, Q2 rebranded as VTM 2, as part of a rebranding of the 4 main DPG channels. [7] [8] After thirty years on Één, VTM 2 secured the rights to the Australian soap opera Neighbours in June 2021, when VRT decided not to renew the contract. The first episode to air on the new rights holder was aired on 14 June; Één's last on 8 June.
In January 2024, Play5 announced that it took the rights to Neighbours from VTM 2, with the premiere of the revival coming in February, a few days after VTM 2 finished airing the finale. Episodes were five months behind Australia, a shorter gap than VTM's 1.5 years.
