N79 in Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte. National Route 79 (N79) is a 302-kilometer (188 mi), two-to-four lane national primary road connecting the provinces of Misamis Occidental, [1] Zamboanga del Norte, [2] [3] [4] and Zamboanga Sibugay. [5]
It soon enters Zamboanga del Sur as the Aurora–Tukuran segment of Lanao–Pagadian–Zamboanga City Road at the town of Aurora. At the Aurora Junction, it intersects with Ozamiz–Pagadian Road and turns south, alternatively as the Aurora–Tukuran Road .
At the Tukuran Junction, it turns west and becomes Lanao-Pagadian-Zamboanga City Road and Pagadian City-Zamboanga City Road from thereon. It climbs the mountainous terrain and turns west at its intersection with N9 ( Butuan–Cagayan de Oro–Iligan Road ) to become alternatively known as National Highway .
