Disciplined Growth Investors, Inc. (DGI) is a SEC-registered [1] independent asset management firm founded in February 1997 by Fred Martin in Minneapolis, Minnesota. [2] Its headquarters are located on the 25th floor of the Fifth Street Towers in downtown Minneapolis. In 2009, DGI had 145 clients. [3]
After graduating from Cass Tech, Davis opened a car wash but would eventually find success in sales at a local Dodge dealership. In 1938, he opened a used car lot and two years later became a Studebaker dealer. Studebaker Corporation faced financial difficulties in the 1950s which led to Davis closing his dealership in 1956.
Although settlers first arrived in the Dodge area in the 1820s, the community was founded in 1872 by William H. Parmer, the son of Martin Parmer. Dodge grew up around the Dodge Station of the Houston and Great Northern Railroad; it was named for Phelps Dodge, the company that constructed the community. Dodge's post office was established in 1881.
Scoggins was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas in 1911. He sang and played guitar on Dallas radio stations in the early 1930s and in 1936 formed his own group, the Cass County Kids, with John Dodson and Fred Martin.
Chrysler was founded by Walter Chrysler on June 6, 1925, [1] when the Maxwell Motor Company (est. 1904) was re-organized into the Chrysler Corporation. [2]Walter Chrysler had originally arrived at the ailing Maxwell-Chalmers company in the early 1920s, having been hired to take over and overhaul the company's troubled operations just after a similar rescue job at the Willys car company.
