Stanley Robert Vinton (born April 16, 1935) is an American singer and actor, who hosted his own self-titled TV show in the late 1970s. As a teen idol, he became known as "The Polish Prince", as his music paid tribute to his Polish heritage.

Mr. Lonely is Bobby Vinton's tenth studio album, released in 1964.It was released right after the success of his fourth and final #1 US hit "Mr. Lonely," a 1962 song that was released as a single after its appearance on Bobby Vinton's Greatest Hits.
Bobby Vinton found the song in a reject pile at Epic Records. [3] He first recorded it as an R&B number, but was allowed to re-record it in a slower more dramatic arrangement, with strings and a vocal choir (from Robert Mersey and his Orchestra) added. [4] [3] [1] The song was released in April 1962. [4]
Vinton and Gene Allan later re-teamed to compose "Coming Home Soldier", which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1967. [ 6 ] Although he turned out to be Epic Records' best selling artist of the 1960s, the record company initially did not display confidence in Vinton.
