JS Ise (DDH-182) is a Hyūga-class helicopter destroyer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). She is the second ship to be named Ise , the first being the Imperial Japanese Navy World War II -era battleship Ise .

Ise was converted at Kure Naval Arsenal from 23 February to 5 September 1943 and Hyūga at Sasebo Naval Arsenal from 2 May to 30 November. [55] After completing her sea trials, Ise was attached to the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy at Etajima and ferried troops and munitions to the naval base at Truk in October.
Two - Hyūga and Ise - were built; upon completion the class were the largest ships built for the Japanese navy since the Second World War.
