Round Spring is an unincorporated community in Shannon County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] The site is located on Missouri Route 19 , adjacent to the confluence of Spring Valley Creek with the Current River .
The Elephant Rocks, for which Elephant Rocks State Park is named, is a pile of residual boulders of weathered Graniteville Granite. It is a medium- to coarse-grained, muscovite-biotite alkali granite that, on the average, consists of 55 percent alkali feldspar, 40 percent quartz, and less than 5 percent mafic minerals.
Bennett Spring State Park is a public recreation area located in Bennett Springs, Missouri, twelve miles (19 km) west of Lebanon on Highway 64 in Dallas and Laclede counties. It is centered on the spring that flows into the Niangua River and gives the park its name. The spring averages 100 million gallons (380,000 m 3) of daily flow. [3]

The exceptions are Big Spring, Greer Spring, Mammoth Spring, Bennett Spring, Maramec Spring, Alley Spring, and Round Spring, which have all been measured for more than 3 years on a daily basis by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Other notable springs to add to the river include Cave Spring, Pulltite Spring, and Round Spring. Downstream from the headwaters approximately 52 miles (84 km) the Current River receives its largest tributary the Jacks Fork from the west near the small town of Eminence , Missouri.
