Little Heroes were an Australian band formed in 1980, by founding mainstay Roger Hart (aka Roger Wells or Roger Hart-Wells, ex-Secret Police) on lead vocals and guitar. They released three studio albums, Little Heroes (August 1981), Play by Numbers (August 1982) and Watch the World (September 1983).
On 25 September 1976, [12] while on tour with the British progressive rock band Curved Air in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the northeast of England, the band's American drummer, Stewart Copeland, met and exchanged phone numbers with singer-bassist Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. Sting, [13] who at the time was playing in a jazz-rock fusion band called Last Exit. [14]
Klark Kent is the debut solo album of Stewart Copeland, and the first solo album recorded by any band member of The Police. The album was released in 1980 as a 10 inch EP on green vinyl. It was later re-released on black vinyl as a 12 inch with a grey and black sleeve.
Miles Axe Copeland III (born May 2, 1944) is an American music and entertainment executive and former manager of the Police. Copeland later managed Sting's musical and acting career. In 1979, Copeland founded the I.R.S. Records label, producing R.E.M. , the Bangles , Berlin , the Cramps , Dead Kennedys , the Alarm , the Go-Go's , and others.
Henry (or Henri) Padovani (born 14 October 1952) is a French musician noted for being the original guitarist of English rock band The Police. [1] He was a member of the band from January 1977 to August 1977 and was replaced by Andy Summers, who had originally been part of the band as a second guitarist. [2]
