The Michigan State University Museum most commonly referred to as the MSU Museum is Michigan State University's oldest museum formed in 1857. The Rock is a large pudding stone on the campus of Michigan State University, which has been painted with messages by campus groups since the 1960s.Unearthed in 1873, and installed on the campus by the class of 1873, the Rock became known as a site for engaged and married couples in the 1910s.
In 1999, Eustace Hall underwent a $3 million renovation funded in part by a major donation from MSU alumni Jeffrey N. Cole (BS, 1970) [8] and Kathryn C. Cole (MBA, 1990) of Birmingham, Michigan and was renamed Eustace-Cole Hall in their honor. Eustace-Cole Hall now serves as the headquarters of the MSU Honors College. [9] [10]
