The Richmond City Council is the governing body of the city of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The council consists of the mayor and eight elected city councillors. [ 1 ] Like Vancouver City Council , the councillors are not elected to represent wards like most Canadian cities.
Since 2022, Heed has been a member of Richmond City Council. He previously served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, representing the riding of Vancouver-Fraserview from 2009 to 2013. A member of the BC Liberal Party, from 2009 to 2010 he was the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General in the Campbell ministry.
