The national flag of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos vÄ—liava) consists of a horizontal tricolour of yellow, green, and red. It was adopted on 25 April 1918 during Lithuania's first period of independence (1918–1940), which ceased with the occupation first by the Soviet Union, and then by Nazi Germany (1941–1944).
I own a Lithuanian flag from the country and the yellow of the flag is way too dark. Such a flag was unanimously approved by the Council of Lithuania on April 25, 1918 and decided to raise it in Vilnius, on the tower of the Gediminas Castle, after receiving the permission of the German occupation administration.
