Preliminary details regarding the crash, which occurred around 11:10 a.m. Sunday during the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, could be released later in the day, the Orange County Register reported Monday.
Sunday's race is the season finale for the NHRA's national series. Racing was paused at the track as first responders attend to the site of the crash. Action resumed at 4 p.m. ET.
