Megumin (Japanese: めぐみん) is a fictional character from the light novel, manga, and anime series KonoSuba, written by Natsume Akatsuki.In the universe of KonoSuba, a parallel world with MMORPG elements, Megumin is a sorcerer who joins protagonist Kazuma Satou's party in an attempt to defeat the Demon King.
A clan which is the main focus of the KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World light novel spin-off series. Komekko (こめっこ) Voiced by: Maria Naganawa [14] (Japanese); Jackie Lastra [15] (English) Megumin's younger sister. After finding a puzzle ball like Megumin had years ago, she ends up unleashing demons upon the Crimson village.
Seeing that Megumin is starving, Cecily takes Megumin to the Axis Church where she meets the archbishop Father Zesta. In return for Zesta providing food and board, as well as giving her a lead on a beautiful female mage who knows explosion magic living in the town of Axel, Megumin agrees to assist the Axis Church on their recruiting efforts.
The series follows the adventures of Kazuma Satou who, after he dies of a heart attack after pushing a girl out of the way of a truck, which turned out to be a tractor, is sent to an RPG-like world, going on various adventures alongside a goddess named Aqua, a magician named Megumin, and a dame named Darkness.
A Megumin-focused spin-off light novel series, also written and illustrated by Akatsuki and Mishima respectively, titled KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! [ Jp. 2 ] and takes place a year prior to the main series, was released from July 1, 2014, to June 1, 2015 in three volumes. [ 17 ]
The party learns from Yunyun that the Crimson Demon village is under attack by one of Devil King's generals, Sylvia. At Megumin's request, the party follows Yunyun to the village. There, Kazuma makes advances towards Megumin and learns that a Japanese man created the Crimson Demons - along with weaponry to counter the Devil King's attacks.
Megumin senses that the necklace Iris is wearing contains magical power, and she reveals it is a magical relic entrusted to her, but nobody knows what it does. Kazuma recognizes the Japanese inscription on the writing and accidentally activates it, switching bodies with Iris.
After an uneventful duel resulting in Megumin's victory, Kazuma and Megumin somehow end up sharing a bath together, leading to some panic when Aqua returns home. The next day at Wiz's shop, Megumin and Yunyun have another duel to decide who can properly use a magical Friendship Crystal, which ends up showing everyone their past embarrassments.
