Hurst produced aftermarket replacement manual transmission shifters and other automobile performance enhancing parts.. Taking a cue from the Dodge Viper, the Ram SRT-10 came with a red start button on the dash. The automatic transmissions were the then-new Chrysler-built 727 TorqueFlite three-speed with 8-3/4 inch large stem pinion center section with a 4.86 gear set, and a 2,600 rpm high speed torque converter. They were also modified with a floor-mounted Hurst shifter for manual shifting.
