The Goshen Central School District is a public school district in Orange County, New York, United States.It educates children in the village of Goshen and most of the town, as well as the Campbell Hall section of the neighboring Town of Hamptonburgh and part of the Town of Wallkill, including the hamlet of Michigan Corners.
It is located on Scotchtown Avenue (Orange County 83) in the northwest corner of the village, next to the district's bus garage and in front of Goshen Central High School. In 2000, a 28,000-square foot (2,520 m²) addition was built on to the original 1956 building at a cost of $5.4 million.

After the Civil War began, Goshen was the site for Camp Wickham, which held volunteers raised in Goshen in the summer of 1862. The 124th Regiment of Volunteers was mustered into federal service in Goshen on September 5, 1862, serving nearly three years. They mustered out at Washington's Headquarters in Newburgh, New York on June 14, 1865. [16]

John S. Burke Catholic High School, referred to locally as Burke Catholic or as Burke Catholic Academy, is an American private, Roman Catholic high school and middle school in Goshen, New York, and is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. Burke Catholic is the only Catholic high school located in Orange County.
