the number of times articles published in the journal during each of the most recent 10 years were cited by individual specific journals during the year (the twenty journals with the greatest number of citations are given) and several measures derived from these data for a given journal: its impact factor, immediacy index, etc.
The list given here is far from exhaustive, only containing some of the most influential, currently publishing journals in each field. As a rule of thumb, each field should be represented by fewer than ten positions, chosen by their impact factors and other ratings.
This journal is abstracted and indexed in Chemical Abstracts Service, [1] Emerging Sources Citation Index, [2] and Scopus. [3] According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2022 impact factor of 2.3. [4]
The journal has absorbed two other publications in its history, the Journal of Analytical and Applied Chemistry (July 1893) and the American Chemical Journal (January 1914). It covers all fields of chemistry. Since 2021, the editor-in-chief is Erick M. Carreira . [2] In 2014, the journal moved to a hybrid open access publishing model.
Its predecessors were Quarterly Reviews, Chemical Society (1947–1971) and Royal Institute of Chemistry, Reviews (1968–1971); it maintained its current title since 1972. According to the Journal Citation Reports , the journal has a 2021 impact factor of 60.615. [ 1 ]
Chemical Reviews is peer-reviewed scientific journal published twice per month by the American Chemical Society. It publishes review articles on all aspects of chemistry. It was established in 1924 by William Albert Noyes (University of Illinois). The editor-in-chief is Sharon Hammes-Schiffer. [1]
