Clyde / ˈ k l aɪ d / [6] is a city in Sandusky County, Ohio, located eight miles southeast of Fremont. The population was 6,294 at the time of the 2020 census . The National Arbor Day Foundation has designated Clyde as a Tree City USA .
State Route 510 (SR 510) is a north–south state highway in the northern portion of Ohio. The entirety of SR 510 lies within Sandusky County. Its southern terminus is at SR 101 in Clyde, and its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 6 (US 6) between Fremont and Sandusky.
From Fremont eastward, the route becomes a divided highway, except when passing through the communities of Clyde, Bellevue, and Monroeville. The route bypasses Norwalk to the south as an expressway, with much of the old routing of US 20 maintained as part of SR 61 .

SR 101 was designated in 1923 following the same Tiffin–Clyde–Sandusky route it follows today. [3] At the time of its designation, the route was a mix of dirt roads, gravel roads, and asphalt-paved roads. The road was fully paved by 1929.
