Rafay Baloch (born 5 February 1993) is a Pakistani ethical hacker and security researcher. He has been featured and known by both national and international media and publications [1] [2] like Forbes, [3] BBC, [4] The Wall Street Journal, [5] The Express Tribune [1] and TechCrunch. [6]
Aziz worked as an engineer at Sun Microsystems for twelve years, specialising in computer networking, network security, and system design. [4] [8] He also served as chief technology officer of the N1 program at Sun. [10] In 1999, he founded his first startup company Terraspring Inc., which focused on data center automization and virtualization.
He was a member of the National Academy of Science’s Committee on International Security and Arms Control. Following his death the International Studies Association named their paper prize "Stephen P. Cohen Best Paper Award in International Politics of South Asia" after him. [12]
The National Centre for Cyber Security (NCCS) is a government-established research and development centre founded by the Pakistani government in June 2018. This project is a collaborative effort between the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Planning Commission .
The primary objective of these CERT teams at both the national and sectoral levels is to enhance Pakistan's overall cyber security posture and resilience.
