The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) is the world governing body for the sports of baseball, softball, Baseball5 and Blind baseball. [1] It was established in 2013 by the merger of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and International Softball Federation (ISF).

The first round will be a round-robin, with the teams playing each other once.After the six games from each group, the first-placed team will qualify for the final tournament, while the second and third-placed teams will play in a seventh game for the last spot from each qualifier.

At the 2023 World Baseball Classic , Japan was able to defeat the defending champion United States to become the champions.
