1960s F00lare Pants / Bell Bottoms. The bell bottom pant, more often called a flare leg, came about in the early ’60s among non-trend followers, but didn’t begin to enter the mainstream until 1966. It was a novelty look, associated with Mods before it replaced most other ’60s pants by 1969.
The late sixties hippie look introduced the 60s bell bottom pant in a host of denims, boho and flower prints, and psychedelic patterns. They also introduced the wide leg 60s jumpsuit as evening hostess outfit as well as daytime lounge clothes in funky retro prints!
