Borden offers one piece bolts as a $400 option. When I asked him the difference between the two he offered the brazed on handle was better for timing as it allowed for greatre flexibility. Based on our discussion I went with the brazed version. I have ordered a BRM action which I am anxiously waiting for.

Apr 23, 2015. #6. I have 2 Borden Timberline actions. One is a 6.5 Sherman, the other a 300 WM. I wouldn't say that they are slick. I don't own a Tikka but have looked at them. I think that because the tolerences are so tight that it doesn't give it that slick feeling. I have no complaints with either of mine.

My only quip, and its minor, is that the action is a bit tight in dusty conditions. I can't speak to Borden's current tolerances.
