I got five last year (2022) and I usually fight at least a leader per day, so it means circa 1/70 odds to get a shiny shadow. Numbers from 2021 are similar. Do these stats fit with other players observations? 1/64. I have one shiny shadow, I fight like 4 a week…. Currently on 51 Shadow shinies.
What are the shiny odds for mega raid Pokémon. I’ve been wondering what the shiny odds for mega Pokémon in raids are. Pokemon with mega evolutions (e.g. Blastoise) have around a 1/64 shiny rate. That applies no matter how you encounter the Pokemon, so a wild Charizard would also be 1/64. I’ve done 80+ mega gengar raids and nothing haha.
Shiny rates are based on the Pokemon not the way you get them. If the rate is in the wild is 1/450 the rate in raids/research are also 1/450. Wherever you read that it's easier to get them from field research you should stop reading it.. It's wrong. As mentioned, shininess is based on species and not acquisition type.

Shadow shinies have pretty much always been 1/64. The odds are unknown yet. This is the first time the shadows appeared on raids. We need a few days to confirm things. The most likely value could be 1 in 64 like Rocket Leaders. Don't use the purified gems on 1 stars. They don't have an enraged state and can be beaten like this.
This is an updated list following a couple more AFK sessions; the table goes Date, Catch Combo, Total Pokémon Seen, Shiny Pokémon Seen, and the shiny rate.
