The Gridiron Association of South Australia (formally the South Australian Gridiron Association until 1990), Gridiron SA, or GASA is the governing body for gridiron (American football) in the state of South Australia, Australia. There are currently five Division One teams registered in the league.
In 1989, the Southern Districts Gridiron Club changed their nickname from the Longhorns (then wearing orange, black and white) to the Oilers(now wearing white and navy). The first season as the new Oilers, consisting of a core of hardened Longhorn veterans, recruited well, matured quickly and went on to be a very competitive club.

In 2022, after three years of postponed seasons, the organization rebranded as the United Football League (UFL)., [1] prior to the current UFL (formed from the merger of the 2020s USFL and XFL leagues). In 2024, the NGL resurfaced to claim to be launching in 2025.
The affiliated NSW Premier State Youth Gridiron League (NSWPSYGL), which was the first junior gridiron competition in Australia, was also conducted under its administration. In its inaugural 1993 season, the league consisted of 6 teams – Bondi Raiders, Liverpool Pirates, L.U.S.C. Argonauts, Mascot Jets, Newcastle Cobras and Wollongong Mustangs.

The Female Gridiron League of Queensland (FGLQ), the first league of its kind in Australia, is a full kit, women's tackle American nine-a-side football competition that commenced on 24 August 2012.
