Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources The Lauderdale Wildlife Management Area is an Alabama Wildlife Management Area (WMA) operated by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in Lauderdale County, Alabama near Waterloo, Alabama .
The refuge is one of the largest undeveloped parcels of land on the Alabama coast. Established in 1980, Bon Secour (the name, in French, means "safe harbor") is smaller than most other national wildlife refuges, and is divided into Sand Bayou, Perdue, Little Point Clear, Fort Morgan, and Little Dauphin Island. The Perdue unit is the most developed.
Public uses of the WMAs vary from area to area, but typically includes hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, and camping. As of the 2007–2008 season over 768,000 acres (3,110 km 2) of land was under management as part of Alabama WMAs from the north Alabama mountains down to Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico coast. [1]
Lake Conroe is a 21,000-acre (85 km 2) lake in Montgomery County, Texas, United States. Even though it is named Lake Conroe, only the southern third of the lake is in Conroe, Texas . Most of the lake is in unincorporated Montgomery County, while a small northern sliver juts into neighboring Walker County where the Baker Bridge is located.
Key Cave National Wildlife Refuge is a 1,060 acre (4.3 km 2) National Wildlife Refuge located in northwestern Alabama, along the Tennessee River downstream from Florence, Alabama. Additional purchases are under negotiation which will increase the size of the refuge to 1,800 acres (7.3 km 2). More than 6,000 visitors per year visit the refuge.

Little Lagoon Nautical Chart. Little Lagoon is located on the western side of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and is situated between the Gulf of Mexico and Bon Secour Bay.The lagoon has four small fresh/brackish water lakes that drain into it, Lake Shelby (678 acres), Middle Lake (250 acres), Little Lake (45 acres), and Gator Lake (45 acres).
