The CAGED system is an acronym for the chords C, A, G, E, and D. This acronym is shorthand for the use of barre chords that can be played anywhere on the fret board as described above. An A-minor scale has the same pitches as the C major scale, because the C major and A minor keys are relative major and minor keys. A minor chord has the root and the fifth of the corresponding major chord, but its first interval is a minor third rather than a major third:

Other scales with a minor third and a perfect fifth (i.e. containing a minor triad) are also commonly referred to as minor scales. Within the diatonic modes of the major scale , in addition to the Aeolian mode (which is the natural minor scale), the Dorian mode and the Phrygian mode also fall under this definition.
Ignoring the root, the scales used for each of these four chords would be B Aeolian (natural minor), B Dorian, C♯ Mixolydian, and E Aeolian, respectively. However, from the perspective of pitch axis theory, we consider all scales to have the B root - so we would say that the progression is B Aeolian, B Dorian, B Lydian, and B Phrygian.
