Mbombela, formerly Nelspruit, is a city in northeastern South Africa. It is the capital of the Mpumalanga province. Located on the Crocodile River , the city lies about 110 km (68 mi) by road west of the Mozambique border, 330 km (210 mi) east of Johannesburg and 82 km (51 mi) north of the Eswatini border.
Zandspruit Bush & Aero Estate is a 1 000 ha secure living wildlife estate situated 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) from the town of Hoedspruit, 30 kilometres (19 mi) from the Blyde River Canyon, and 70 kilometres (43 mi) from the Kruger National Park, in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.
The Carlton Centre has 50 floors, and is 223 m (732 ft) tall. The foundations of the two buildings in the complex are 3.5 m (11 ft) in diameter and extend 20 m (66 ft) down to the bedrock, 30 m (98 ft) below street level. The building houses both offices and shops, and has over 46 per cent of the floor area below ground level.
Construction began in 2001, [1] and it replaced the smaller Nelspruit Airport. It now serves travelers to Kruger National Park. The airport terminal is roofed almost entirely by thatch, making it the largest thatched structure in Africa, covering approximately 7,350 square metres (79,100 sq ft).
The Nombolo Mdhuli Conference Centre, named after a corporal who served in the park from 1919 until 1958, was built in the early 2000s to provide a larger, more modern conference facility at Skukuza with facilities for up to 500 people, with up to four breakaway rooms with a variety of configurations. This conference centre is also air conditioned.

Technical Base Complex Centurion is home to the Technical Service Training Centre, the Army Engineer Formation and a general support base.
Nelspruit Airport, South Africa is located about 9 km (6 mi) south west of the city of Mbombela. It was the city's original and only airport serving the region until the opening of Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in 2001. [2] It is owned and operated by the municipality. As of 2018 it now serves mostly general aviation.
