The Z Fighters go their separate ways, and Gohan informs a heartbroken Chi-Chi of Goku's fate. The next day, Trunks bids farewell to everyone and begins his journey back to the future. As Trunks departs in his time machine, Gohan is seen smiling at his father's spirit in the sky.
