The Founders League is an American athletic league comprising a number of college preparatory schools. [1] Founded in 1984, it consists of ten schools in Connecticut and one from eastern New York. All of the schools in the Conference are founding members. [2] The League is one of eleven in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council. [3]
It is the second largest semi-professional league in New England, and formerly of the biggest leagues in the United States. [2] [3] The NEFL was founded in 1994 and was also known as the Greater Lawrence Men's Football League. [4] In 2024, the league shifted to one conference, comprising seven teams.
