Abul A'la al-Maududi (Urdu: ابو الاعلیٰ المودودی, romanized: Abū al-Aʿlā al-Mawdūdī; () 25 September 1903 – () 22 September 1979) was an Islamic scholar, Islamist ideologue, Muslim philosopher, jurist, historian, journalist, activist, and scholar active in British India and later, following the partition, in Pakistan. Quran Ki Chaar Buniyadi Istlahein (Urdu: قرآن کی چار بنیادی اصطلاحیں; English trans:Four Key Concepts of the Qur'an) is a 1944 Urdu Islamic book by Abul A'la Maududi. The book is considered to have fundamental importance in the religious thoughts of the author which present Islam as a comprehensive system of life.
The station was originally launched on June 20, 1954, as KVDO-TV, broadcasting on channel 22 as the Corpus Christi market's first television station. [2] Owned by Coastal Bend Television, KVDO was a primary affiliate of the DuMont network, [3] but carried secondary affiliations with NBC until KRIS-TV took the air in May 1956, CBS until KZTV signed on in September 1956, [4] and ABC. [ 7 ] [ 8 ] However, the anti-Ahmadi campaign enjoyed much popular support, [ 9 ] and strong public pressure ultimately convinced the government to release him after two years of imprisonment. [ 7 ]
