Elliot Hospital is an acute care hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States.The Elliot was established as a charitable trust in 1880, was legally incorporated as a not-for-profit organization by an act of the New Hampshire Legislature in 1881, and opened its doors as the first community general hospital in New Hampshire on April 17, 1890.
The 115-bed hospital is located in the city of Keene, the Cheshire County seat. [1] It is part of the Dartmouth–Hitchcock health care network. [2] It was built in 1973 and replaced the Elliot Community Hospital on Main Street which had served as the city's hospital since 1892. [3] [4]

King's Daughters' Hospital opened in 1897 as a three-room emergency hospital over the Poage, Elliott and Poage Drug Store on Winchester Avenue near 16th Street. [4] In 1899, the hospital itself was founded by the What-so-ever Circle of the International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons and moved to a seven-room building at 18th Street and Greenup Avenue.
[4] [5] It served as Keene's hospital until 1973, when the Cheshire Medical Center was built and then was acquired by Keene State College shortly afterwards; [2] it now houses a variety of student support offices. In August 2014 it emerged that the Trust was exploring a number of projects led by South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. [4] In 2018 it became part of a three-trust hospital chain with South Warwickshire and Wye Valley NHS Trust. [5] In 2019 it implemented a programme to become paperless using Alfresco Software. [6]
