Lake Arrowhead is a private community and census-designated place (CDP) in Clinton County, Missouri, United States. It is in the southeastern part of the county, surrounding a lake of the same name. It is 4 miles (6 km) south of Lathrop, 3 miles (5 km) north of Holt, and 33 miles (53 km) northeast of Kansas City.

Most areas are owned by the department; some are leased by the department; some areas are managed under contract by the department; and some areas are leased to other entities for management.
The first resort, the Chehalis Thousand Trails location was first begun on 640 acres (260 ha) [3] and by the late 1970s, contained a pool and lodge. As of 2007, the campground is part of a nature reserve and contains 3,000 camp sites, a 100 foot (30 metres) Slip 'N Slide, and an open area known as Roy Rogers' Field, named in honor of the company's first spokesperson.

[6] In the early 1900s it was considered the "Mule Capital of the World" after the firm of Guyton and Harrington sold 180,000 mules and 170,000 horses to the British Army during World War I. The cousins J.D. Guyton and W.R. Harrington owned 4,700 acres near Lathrop.
