Queensway Carleton Hospital’s Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Ontario, serving more than 80,000 patients annually.
Queensway Carleton Hospital, West Ottawa’s only full-service hospital, offers a diversity of medical and surgical programs and services. With a team of over 2,700 health professionals, the 355-bed Queensway Carleton Hospital is the secondary referral centre for the Ottawa Valley.

Queensway Carleton Hospital’s medical services program is one of our cornerstone programs. Our inpatient medical units provide coordinated multi-disciplinary care to patients admitted through the Emergency Department – seeing 68,435 medical patient days in the 2022/2023 fiscal year.
