The Citadel Regimental Band and Pipes attended the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in August of 2024 under the direction of LtCol Timothy Smith and Major Jim Dillahey. The Citadel was also the only American college band to attend the tattoo in this year and their set consisted of many original works composed by the directors.
The fourth and the last act celebrated the strength of the UK's four nations and the Commonwealth, as well as Queen Elizabeth II and her achievements over the past seventy years. Performances were given by the Kings Troop, Massed Pipes and Drums, Dancers of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Emerald Storm and the Academy Voices (Welsh Choir).
