The school is located in North Bloomfield, Ohio, Trumbull County, Ohio This school accommodates to Bloomfield Township and Mesopotamia Township. Their mascots are the Cardinals and compete as a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and is a member of the Northeastern Athletic Conference.
The town once boasted a school, hotel, community College, opera house and restaurant- all of which are now closed, were destroyed, or otherwise were torn down. The school merged with the neighboring Bristolville School district in the 1980s, before closing in the early 2000s.
The West Farmington school was used as the k-8 building until the 2004-2005 school year when the Bristol expansion was finished. The playground was not taken to the Bristol school at the time of the move and is now set up as a public play space in West Farmington. The building is currently owned by a private citizen.
Trumbull High School housed grades 10–12 until 1987–1988 when ninth-graders were moved to the high school, and sixth-graders were moved to the Madison and Hillcrest middle schools.
