Rockville is a census-designated place and a village of the town of Vernon in Tolland County, Connecticut, United States. The village is part of the Capitol Planning Region. The population was 7,920 at the 2020 census. [2] Incorporated as a city in 1889, it has been consolidated with the town of Vernon since 1965.
August 18, 2023: An EF-1 occurred on Bass Road and Route 14 in Scotland at 7:53am, one of five tornadoes that day in CT, MA, and RI. The storm had a 2.7 mile path with winds to 100mph. While there wasn't much in the way of structural damage observed, other than gutter damage to two homes, there was significant tree damage.
