Colorado College operates National Public Radio Member Station KRCC-FM. In 1944, KRCC began as a two-room public address system in the basement of Bemis Hall. Professor Woodson "Chief" Tyree, Director of Radio and Drama Department at Colorado College was the founder and inspirational force in the program that one day became KRCC-FM.
In 1966 college administrative offices moved to Armstrong Hall, and the Education Department moved its offices to Cutler Hall. The building was remodeled in 1972 and alumni affairs, public information, yearbook and college publication offices moved into the hall. College relations and development offices moved into the all in the 1980s. [5]

The Frederick H. Cossitt Memorial Hall, located at 906 N. Cascade Ave. in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was built in 1914. It has also been known as Cossitt Hall and was funded by a donation by Mrs. Helen Cossitt Juilliard in honor of her father. [2] It was designed by Maurice B. Biscoe. It is part of Colorado College.
He was owner of a department store chain from Minnesota to Washington and Oregon and sold his interests in 1927 to J. C. Penney Company. John worked until 1943. His wife Charlotte was a gardener and studied painting. Both Shavers died in 1960. Their daughters sold the house to Colorado College in 1962. [4]
