Belleville is a village in Dane and Green counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 2,491 at the 2020 census . Of this, 1,909 were in Dane County, and 582 were in Green County.

Village officers include a president, clerk, treasurer, and assessor. Villages may also elect to hire a village manager to oversee day-to-day operations instead of an elected village president; nine villages had done this as of 2015. An additional 77 villages in Wisconsin employ village administrators. [1]
The main building in the park is the former Belleville Village Hall, built in 1894. It was also used as a firehouse, jail and a public library. Aside from the Village Hall, the park itself has been important to the community, hosting high school commencements, picnics, band concerts, 4 July celebrations, and ice cream socials.
