The FIA GT Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) at the behest of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship was mostly concentrated in Europe, but throughout the years has visited other continents including Asia and South America.

The GT World Challenge America is a North American auto racing series launched in 1990 by the Sports Car Club of America.It has been managed by the SRO Motorsports Group since 2018, and has been sanctioned by the United States Auto Club since 2017.
GT World Challenge Europe (known as the Blancpain GT Series between 2014 and 2019) is a sports car racing series organised by SRO Motorsports Group.It features grand tourer racing cars modified from production road cars complying with the FIA's GT3 regulations.
[1] [2] It was founded in 1997 by the SRO and FIA vice-president Bernie Ecclestone as the successor to the BPR Global GT Series, and it was the third motor racing championship to bear the FIA name. [3] [4] [5] There were two classes when the series was launched in 1997: Grand Touring 1 (GT1) and Grand Touring 2 (GT2).
The series was founded in 1969 by John and Peggy Bishop, [3] and Bill France, Sr. [4] Racing began in 1971, and was originally aimed at two of FIA's stock car categories, running two classes each; the GT (Groups 3 and 4) and touring (Group 1 and 2) classes.
The series was announced in October 2020, replacing the GT Sports Club America and the Sprint category of the GT4 America Series. [1] The first race was run on March 6, 2021 and was won by George Kurtz. [2] At the end of the opening season, Charlie Luck was crowned the inaugural overall champion, while Jason Bell won the GT4 class championship. [3]
The 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS was a motor racing championship for GT3 cars and was the 11th running of GT World Challenge Europe.The season consisted of 10 events: 5 Sprint Cup events, and 5 Endurance Cup events.
