LRT televizija was launched on 30 April 1957 as LTV (Lietuvos Televizija), by 1960 it was broadcast six days a week [2] and began broadcasting in colour in 1975 using SECAM colour. The channel was rebranded on 27 July 2012 to LRT televizija. [3] Broadcasting in 16:9 format began on 25 March 2013. [4]

Since 5 March 2012, Info TV airs 24/7. On 1 December 2018, the channel started broadcasting in HD, along with the other LNK Group channels - LNK, BTV and TV1.
