JSTOR (/ ˈ dʒ eɪ s t ɔːr / JAY-stor; short for Journal Storage) [2] is a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources founded in 1994. Originally containing digitized back issues of academic journals, it now encompasses books and other primary sources as well as current issues of journals in the humanities and social sciences. [3]
The term is most commonly associated with text materials, either in traditional printed format or online; however, audio, video, and multimedia materials that have been recorded then broadcast, distributed, or archived by a reputable party may also meet the necessary criteria to be considered reliable sources.
Wikipedia began as a complementary project for Nupedia, a free online English-language encyclopedia project whose articles were written by experts and reviewed under a formal process. [ 20 ] It was founded on March 9, 2000, under the ownership of Bomis, a web portal company.

Wow, I would be very happy to get access to Jstor. I am working on Lepidoptera species and bump into good sources behind the Jstor paywall on a daily basis.
