The Garrison–Coronado–Haskell Historic District is a largely residential historic district in Rockford, Illinois, United States. Nearly half of the district is houses built between 1890 and 1900. 503 of its 564 buildings contribute to the district's historic fabric.
His second wife adopted a son, Theodore "Teddy" Tinker in 1908. Upon Robert Tinker's death in 1924, Jessie created a partnership with the Rockford Park District, allowing her to remain in the house until her death. After her death in 1942 the Rockford Park District acquired the property and opened the home as a museum in 1943.
The Rockford Park District was formed in 1909 and is governed by an elected five-member board of commissioners who serve six-year terms without compensation. It is the third largest municipal park system in Illinois, serving the communities of Rockford, Illinois, including Loves Park, Cherry Valley, New Milford, and adjacent unincorporated areas of Boone County and Winnebago County.
