In my experience, AliExpress has proven to be a reliable e-commerce platform. They have a vast product selection, efficient shipping options, and a strong customer support system to handle any issues that may arise. I have never encountered any major problems while shopping on AliExpress and would highly recommend it to others.
It's all about the ratings and the reviews. In a few words - when I open a products page, first I look at the sellers rating and info, right after that, I go to the reviews, mainly these with photos, then I switch to these with an additional review, then if there are one star reviews I switch to them to see if they are legit..
Look at the 1-3 star reviews instead. These will tell you if the seller uses fake tracking numbers, sends faulty products, doesn't respond to messages or cheats on customers in other ways. Every store will have a few bad reviews about products not arriving, those are normal and can be ignored if there are not too many.
Nothing feels cheap, packaging is nice (for a China-made Aliexpress product), I was even surprised how strong the keychain ring is. it even comes with an instruction manual that isn't useless and no typo's ;) - The device is smaller than I expected, which in this case is a good thing) -
Buyer places an order on Aliexpress and does payment to Aliexpress. Seller immediately does a small shipment with unknown contents via Qingfeng Express (or other Carrier) to a bogus address nearby the Buyer. Seller gives the Buyer the correct tracking code but with the wrong Carrier. Buyer does not respond on questions why the shipment is not done.
Aliexpress is very much you get what you pay for - you can get some really amazing stuff if you buy from sellers with good reputation and lots of reviews. At the end of the day, you’re buying direct from China, and you are getting Chinese quality items and customer service - it is a lot more variable.

Aliexpress doesn’t have the customer support they once had, they no longer give out refunds even when there’s an issue. Their live chat just don’t understand/ care. Sellers only want to make as much money as possible by even scamming users on postal services e.g aliexpress standard and then they send out using a cheaper alternative.
I checked my other reviews for other products from other stores and can only see ones I made after January 2022 (I have reviews in December 2021 can't see, reviews in May 2022 I can see). ALSO, on the "review by you" page it says my oldest review is in October 2021 when I know I made reviews for every Aliexpress order dating back to February 2019.
