Hi all, Bit of a strange question. I have an M40A5 and I am trying to improve range/accuracy. I lubed the mags and cleaned out the oil after a few mag's worth of bb's, but am still a little inconsistent and am wondering if my inconsistency is due to oil re-entering the bucking, or if it is the hop chamber.
I'm using the AA chamber. I bought the M Nub that looks like a solid brick. I measured the IR hop silicon and the barrel window with a digital ruler, and cut the silicon 100% perfectly. I did glue the M Nub with it's own glue that comes with it to the hop up arm. When it descends without the barrel/bucking in, the nub comes down evenly and ...
Hi guys, So a while ago i bought an upgrade set from airsoft pro to get my rifle shooting at 500 fps. i had a problem with getting the gun to cock smoothly though, after doing some research i put it down to the weak stock aluminium cylinder that couldnt cope with the strong spring. this weekend i got my hands on a steel cylinder and after installing all the parts again, the bolt pull was still ...
The issue with silicone oil is that it can get on your bucking and change the friction coefficient. That ends up destabilizing the hop until it’s clean. Wax stays in place, lasts a long time and doesn’t foul the bucking. So no to oil but yes to wax. Beware the tactical kitty ears.
If it is a 45 the wear is pushing the piston to the cylinder and maybe the piston is worn to. Try spraying silicon grease in your cylinder. That help me with my bolt problem where I had to push it back with excessive force. But if it isn't locking, make sure your piston and trigger sears are both 90 or 45 degrees.

The option of fully automatic fire is another good thing also. They can be a little bit pricey, but they are worth it IMO. TM makes very good products. Like.
Once this has been completed, push it out from the other direction, and repeat until the paper towel rod is completely white, or whatever the original color may be. Tip #1. Always have a plastic cleaning rod (they usually come with an airsoft gun) Tip #2. It's also good to have a stainless rod of sorts.
2. Yes you can. If you have a lathe and mill. Or you can look for a local machine shop and get a quote for it. If you have the CAD files they usually waive the Engineering fees. (Unless you designed it super shit and they have to correct your garbage.) 3. Bore concentricity and bore finish. Then barrel material, followed by bore size. 4 & 4.1.
This is an unassuming but extremely useful thread, thanks for starting it. This is a summary of the posts so far. It may look like a waste of (my) time but I think it gives a good big picture view. Rifle: 6 BAR-10, 2 G-SPEC, 1 VSR-X (roughly two thirds BAR-10) Hopup: 9 Action Army Bucking: 6 Maple (with concave nub), 3 Nineball (2 with R-hop, 1 ...

This rifle was released alongside other variants of the M24 platform, like the Snow Wolf and JGW versions, all of which helped to fill in the voids.
