New York State Route 54A (NY 54A) is a state highway in the western part of New York in the United States. It runs in a northeast to southwest direction through part of the Finger Lakes district of New York. The southern terminus of NY 54A is at NY 54 south of Hammondsport. The northern terminus is in Penn Yan, where it rejoins NY 54.
NY 54 continues east through Urbana, crossing the southern end of Keuka Lake, one of New York's Finger Lakes. At this point, NY 54 becomes a lakeside highway, intersecting with CR 87 (Hammondsport–Wayne Road). NY 54 begins a bend to the north along Keuka Lake, as a two-lane rural highway overlooking the lake.
The Finger Lakes AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in Upstate New York, south of Lake Ontario. It was established in 1982 [ 4 ] and encompasses the eleven Finger Lakes , but the area around Canandaigua , Keuka , Seneca , and Cayuga Lakes contain the vast majority of vineyard plantings in the AVA.
