Paul Klee (German: [paʊ̯l ˈkleː]; 18 December 1879 – 29 June 1940) was a Swiss-born German artist.His highly individual style was influenced by movements in art that included expressionism, cubism, and surrealism.
The painting is one of the first Klee did in oils and is typical of the artist's interest in colour theory, draughtsmanship and musicality. It is also one of many images in Western art to use camels as subject matter. [2] The composition of the painting is based on horizontal bands dotted with circular shapes.
Death and Fire was one of Klee's last paintings, shortly before his death on June 29, 1940. In 1935 Klee started to suffer from scleroderma, which manifested itself with fatigue, skin rashes, difficulty in swallowing, shortness of breath and pain in the joints of his hands. [3]

Cat and Bird is a painting by Swiss German painter Paul Klee, created in 1928. It was made when Klee was a teacher at the Bauhaus Dessau. The painting depicts the wide face of a stylized cat with a small bird perched on its forehead. It is held in the Museum of Modern Art, in New York. [1]
The painting is covered by a delicate surface of black paint, under which lies a dense layer of multicolored pigments.
