Unni Mukundan was born in Thrissur, Kerala [9] on 22 September 1987 to Malayali parents Madathiparambil Mukundan Nair and Roji Mukundan. He completed his schooling from Pragati Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad and graduated in English Literature and Journalism from Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad (). [10]

Hareesh was born at Perumanna village in Kozhikode district of Kerala, India.He had his primary education at Govt. Ganapath High School for Boys in Kozhikode. He performed in the drama Naatam on school youth festival which was ranked first in the drama category.
He started his career as a child artist in Kabuliwala(1994) directed by Siddique-Lal. [2] Later he joined as assistant directors to Shafi in starting from One Man Show (2001).
