A common size for cells inside cordless tool battery packs. This size is also used in radio-controlled scale vehicle battery packs and some Soviet multimeters. 1 ⁄ 2-, 4 ⁄ 5 - and 5 ⁄ 4-sub-C sizes (differing in length) are also available. Soviet 332 type can be replaced with R10 (#4, 927, BF, U8) or 1.5 V elements from 3 V 2xLR10 packs ...
Round button batteries also carry two-digit size codes such as R44, see the button battery table for typical dimensions. Other round, flat, and square sizes have been standardized but are used mostly for components of multi-cell batteries. Assorted sizes of button and coin cells, including alkaline and silver oxide chemistries. Four rectangular ...

I agree, this page is titled "List of battery sizes" after all. Cell chemistry is an essential characteristic of batteries however, so it should have a page of its own. MrPhelps 01:51, 26 November 2008 (UTC) Since the focus is on battery sizes, one idea is to move the chemistry sections beneath the primary table/list, above the See Also.
An N battery (or N cell) is a standard size of dry-cell battery. An N battery is cylindrical with electrical contacts on each end; the positive end has a bump on the top. The battery has a length of 30.2 mm (1.19 in) and a diameter of 12.0 mm (0.47 in), and is approximately three-fifths the length of a AA battery.
