Pokémon Platinum Version [a] is a 2008 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. It is the third version after Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and is part of the fourth generation of the Pokémon video game series .
The additional app Poké Transporter allows players to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 and the Virtual Console releases of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Pokémon Bank was later updated to add Poké Transporter capabilities for Gold , Silver , and Crystal as well. [ 72 ]
The update allows players to transfer and deposit their Pokémon between Bank and Sun and Moon, though when transferred, they cannot return to the older games.
