In 1978, the Theatre commissioned nine sculptures [7] from Memphis Artist Lawrence (Lon) K. Anthony, past chairman of the Art Department at Rhodes College. The sculptures were funded by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts and a generous gift from the Hubert Menke family.
